A Cambridge study found that people who prepare their own meals are more likely to live longer because it is a healthy behavior. Think about it: from the grocery shopping, the preparation, awareness of the nutrients, to the appreciation and satisfaction of your efforts, cooking a meal is a mindful action. When we are mindful we promote internal happiness, decrease stress, and promote longevity.
